Quick Catch Up & Happy Easter!

Well, hello! It’s been a crazy long time since I’ve written and for no other reason that I’ve been crazy busy! How are all of you? I hope you are doing well and enjoying the changing of the seasons! Spring is here and in full bloom :) Aidan has been working on the yard and getting it to look nice so that makes me super happy!

Tomorrow is Easter and I am hosting a small brunch. Yay! Up until about 5 years ago I hosted Easter brunch every year and I am really excited to be doing it again. There will only be like 5 people coming (as opposed to the old 20 count) but I am making a ton of food for them! I hope it will turn out well ;)

My store has really started taking off and it was really a great move to partner up with the clock guy I met through my work. He mostly has clock parts for me to sell for him but he also has a really good eye and finds some really neat stuff. It all sells well too and I am making money :)

Check out these antique tea cups! Some are listed and the others will be going live soon!

Aren’t they just amazing? I would love to have all of these to use in an office and I really can’t decide which is my favorite. They really are works of art and super extravagant!

I met my first goal of $1,000 in sales March and now I am nearing the $2,000 mark, it’s a really good feeling. My new goal that I am working towards is $1,000 in profit and I am pretty sure I have hit that already :) So I need some new goals! I have quite a few in mind :)

Aside from partnering up and making sales I’ve been finding some really cool stuff! The great thing about all of this is that I can buy all the things I love or that I want and then I keep them for a little while and enjoy them while they wait for their new home!

My inventory system needs a little (or a lot) of tweaking but for the most part I am pretty organized and (kind of) clutter free. My system is a bit chaotic as I am learning but it is finding a natural flow. I will need to figure a better system out soon though because if things keep going at this rate I will be upgrading my store to hold 2,000 listings a month. Right now I am at the 500 listings a month and half way through I am worried I am running out of listings. Like I said, goals in mind..

Well, I had to take Regina to work and now I have to get some housework done. I hope you all have a great holiday and I will try to write more soon!

I am 4 posts away from hitting the 200 mark but it’s been terribly hard to get on here to write! I am so tired and have been sleeping later than normal every day! The baby still sleeps pretty well through the night but I still feel exhausted and I’m not sure why.

The big kids go back to school in 2 weeks and I hope I can get it together before then because it’s going to be very hard getting them motivated when I am a zombie :)

Yesterday was a busy day for all of us. Aidan took a random day off of work and had the lawn looking proper before 9am. Then I had to do an emergency bath on the baby because he puked all over. Then he pooped in the tub. Oh what fun.. After that Aidan bathed Logan while I fed the cranky baby and finally things calmed down.

In the afternoon I took Marshal to Macy’s to buy him some clothes. It was a deal I had made with him, which he surprisingly kept his end of.. Clean your room and do your wash and I’ll buy you some clothes for vacation and the start of school. He tried to get out of most of it but I didn’t budge and he finished it all — by himself! It’s not perfect work but the fact that he did it was great because it made him face his problems and fix them on his own.

After we shopped I made dinner (wings) and then took Regina to the mall. She wanted to get some stuff with gift cards that she got for her birthday. She’s 17! Holy shit! I was itching to get myself a whole new wardrobe because I don’t have anything nice to wear at all but resisted because a) I don’t have money and b) I still want to loose 9 pounds — maybe 8 now :)

Both times that I went out with each of the big kids the little ones stayed here with Aidan. It was so nice to spend one on one time with them and get a break from the sweet little monsters. The first trip they both napped for Aidan the whole time. The second trip Maddox screamed his head off the whole time. I felt really bad but that’s what I deal with every day while Aidan’s at work so I can’t feel too bad.

The big kids are leaving for a week with their Dad. His family has a time share in Ocean City, MD and they go every August. I used to go too and know it’s a lot of fun so I am happy for them. I’m also happy to get a break. It gives me time to miss them and it’s the only break I get from them all year long. They are a big help with the little ones so I will miss them for sure but I am super glad they are going as we haven’t had a vacation this year!

Well, that’s all I can fit in for today. I wrote this from my phone out of desperation just to write. I hope it doesn’t turn out too bad :)

Here is a picture from last weekend — we took a drive to New Hope to test out Maddox’s road trip tollerance and he did pretty well. We had to stop at a park so I could feed him and let Logan stretch his legs. It wasn’t a long trip but a fun one and a good test. We are planning a real day trip there for the fall and I’m really looking forward to it :)

Have a great weekend!

Productive Saturday and Busy Sunday

Good morning, happy daylight savings day! Even though it is a pain to think about the fact that we’ve lost an hour of sleep I am happy because the time change means that warm weather is close by! The birds seem to know it too because they are outside chirping away. I love hearing the birds sing every morning, it really is one of my favorite parts of life. Maybe that makes me weird but nature is just one of those things that brings me out of my head and feel good.

Yesterday we went on a bit of a shopping spree with Henry. He really needed some bigger clothes and shoes so we went to Carters and Famous Footwear to get him some stuff. We didn’t buy many spring things but the stuff that we got he will be able to wear while the weather is still chilly and rainy. We got a few tees, a few hoodies, a nice button up, more than a few pairs of pants because he needed them the most and some socks and a new pair of sneakers.

Henry ended up picking out his own sneakers because while we were debating on which color Adidas we liked he found Thomas the train shoes that he “OOOOhhhheeedd!” about and pulled them right out of the box. He loved them so much we decided, what the heck, let’s get them. He was so excited for his Thomas the train shoes and wore them out of the store. While we were out during the rest of the day anytime he passed a mirror he’d check out his shoes in the reflection. Funny kid that one. For being only 20 months old he sure does know what he wants. :)

After getting Henry loaded up with clothes that fit him properly we headed to the mall and had lunch. The Cheese Cake Factory was packed and had a wait time so we ended up in TGIFridays which was actually better than it was the last time we went there. It was a nice lunch and Henry had a good time with just the two of us. He was picking up one of their table advertisements and peeking through it at us saying “I see you!” Neither Aidan and I had ever heard him say that before so it was a lot of fun to play his little game. I am so glad he is talking so much lately, I love his sweet little voice and it’s amazing how quickly he went from saying only a few things when prompted to just randomly saying things. I love him so much!

After lunch we went to Destination Maternity and I was able to get quite a lot of items. I didn’t get all fancy because my head wasn’t working so well but I am happy with the clothes I got :) No more squashed feeling for me :) I got some leggings and a skirt and some nursing tanks, some pjs, a bra, long sleeve tees and a cardigan. I feel much better today now that I have options as to yesterday when I didn’t know what to wear. I’m still going to get some sun dresses from Old Navy as I have a gift card but after that I think I’ll be set!

Today we are going to visit Aidan’s parents and even though I really just want to stay here and get spring cleaning done I am gonna go. I haven’t seen them since Christmas and getting out of the house again will be good. Before we leave though I have to get some stuff done so I am going to wrap this up.

I hope you have a great day :)
